#RedSox Game Summary (April 22) Swings Amiss

#RedSox Game Summary (April 22) Swings amiss. There is no denying it, these Red Sox are having a hard time swinging the bat, even when the opposing pitching is just so-so. It doesn’t help when the other side hammers your starter, as Baltimore did to Steven Wright, forcing an early exit in the 4th inning. It all started out pretty well, as the knuckleballer was holding off the O’s, while, in the 3rd inning, Xander Bogaerts got a hit with a dribbler to right, and scored on a MASSIVE blast off the bat off Jackie Bradley, Jr. Ah, but then came the 4th inning, when Chris Davis doubled and scored on a Trey Mancini 2 run dinger, and that was followed by another homer by Jonathan Schoop. After that, Caleb Joseph doubled and scored after a pair of singles by Craig Gentry and Adam Jones. That was it for Wright, and Heath Hembree came on to douse the fire, which he did. After that, the Sox faced Orioles pitching, including both starter Jayson Aquino and a succession of relievers of varying ability, and though they got hits here and there, actually threatening in the 6th, they did not score. Lord, deliver our boys from this funk. Baltimore beat Boston, 4-2, at Orioles Park at Camden Yards. Record: 10-8. Game 18/144.E
