#RedSox Game Summary (June 2) Low power. The Red Sox got very little production out of their lineup in this game. Refreshingly, Pablo Sandoval hammered a solo homer to left in the 3rd off Baltimore starter Alec Asher. The Sox scored again in the 7th when Xander Bogaerts doubled, and scored on a Jackie Bradley, Jr. single. But that was it. Boston’s Rick Porcello did not have a bad start, going 6 innings and surrendering 3 runs on 8 hits and a walk, with 5 Ks. Unfortunately, 2 of those hits were solo home runs by Seth Smith and Manny Machado. A third Orioles run came in the 4th, as Jonathan Schoop singled and scored on a double by Hyun Too Kim double. That was all Baltimore needed, as the Sox were unable to come up with an answer. The Boston bullpen did a creditable job of shutting down the Orioles hitting attack, but it was to no avail. You can’t win if you don’t score. Baltimore beat Boston, 3-2, at Orioles Park at Camden Yards. Record: 29-25. Game 54/108.
