#RedSox Game Summary (June 12) Laser show walk-off. Rick Porcello had a fairly disastrous start, but the Sox managed to get back to even by the 9th, forcing extra innings, and then… Pedey! So, what happened in the first? Well, after a single by Philly Odubel Herrera off Boston starter Rick Porcello, our old friend Daniel Nava doubled and though Mitch Moreland threw Herrara out at home on a fielder’s choice that allowed Howie Kendrick to reach, both Kendrick and Nava scored on a Tommy Joseph single, who scored on an Andres Blanco double. Blanco scored on a subsequent single. The Phillies got another in he 5th when Aaron Altherr singled and scored on a Kendrick single. The Sox comeback was gradual. In the 2nd, Andrew Benintendi homered off Philly starter Jerad Eickhoff. In the 3rd, Mookie Betts hit a ground rule double and scored on a fielder’s choice. Then Mitch Moreland singled and scored on a Benintendi single. In the 4th, Jackie Bradley, Jr. reached on an error, and scored on a Mookie Betts double. This tied the game a 4-4, which became 5-4, Philadelphia, in the 5th. Hanley Ramirez tied the game in the 8th with a solo blast. The game remained tied until the 11th, when Pablo Sandoval singled, and Deven Marrero became his pinch runner. Marrero scored on a single by the Laser Show, to end the game. Boston beat Philadelphia, 6-5 in 11 innings, in interleague action at Fenway Park. Record: 35-28. Game 63/99.
